What is brushstroke art?

Brush stroke art is, as the name suggests, abstract artwork made of large, deliberate brush strokes. Pop artist Roy Lichtenstein created a series of artwork entitled 'Brushstrokes' in 1965 which was a nod to impressionism and artists like Jackson Pollock, who famously threw paint at the media.
